Tributes

"I am Musa Bangura, the son of Memuna Jalloh. The passing of our mother has profoundly affected my siblings and me. It is an event we could hardly have foreseen. She was not only the heart of our family but also our guiding light and unwavering support. Each day began with her presence; her warm smile and loving voice were constant in our lives. Above all, she embodied the qualities of love, care, beauty, and selflessness."

Throughout our journey together, we both offered and received support. Our mother was not just a parent to us; she was our best friend, our source of strength, our coach, and our caregiver. Accepting her absence remains a significant challenge for us.

Despite our fervent efforts to keep her memory alive, we acknowledge that divine providence governs life. While we carry the weight of our sorrow, we find comfort in knowing that she has found peace and she is now in a better place.

What stands out most in our memories is the innumerable sacrifices she made for us. She consistently went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and every opportunity for success. Her love, generosity, and commitment to our family were unparalleled.

Her legacy will continue through the values she imparted to us, the love she extended, and the many lives she touched. We will miss her every day, yet the love and lessons she bestowed upon us will remain in our hearts forever.

May her soul rest in perfect peace.

— Musa Jr., Son of Memuna Jalloh

"I am Isatu, the daughter of Memuna Jalloh, and this is my younger brother, Samuel."

Never in a million years would I have thought to see the day of my mother's passing. She was my rock, my light, the face I saw first every morning, the first voice I heard, and the first cry I heard. Moreover, she was my mother. She was the most loving, precious, beautiful woman, inside and out.

Throughout my time with her, I was her helper, and she was mine. This woman was my life. It's not hitting me as hard at the moment that she's no longer with us. We all tried our best to keep her with us, but God has a time for everything. She's in a better place.

The one thing that I will remember forever is her going out of her way to make sure we, as her children, never missed anything, and I hope that will continue.

— Isatu and Samuel, Children of Memuna Jalloh

"To my beloved sister, Memuna,

There are people who make an impression on the world, and then there are those whose very presence changes the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know them. You were that person.

You were the pillar of our family—a woman of unwavering strength, quiet dignity, and boundless compassion. You led not with titles or words, but by example. In every act of kindness, every sacrifice, and every embrace, you showed us what true leadership looks like.

I admired so much about you. You taught me patience when life demanded it, and through your grace you showed me that strength and gentleness can exist in the same heart. The memories we created together are countless, and the gifts you poured into my life—your wisdom, your encouragement, your humor, and your tenderness—are treasures I will carry with me forever.

Your life reminds us that compassion is one of the greatest legacies we can leave behind. You loved without conditions, served without seeking recognition, and gave of yourself so freely that countless lives are better because you walked among us.

I will miss you more than words can express, but I am forever grateful that I had the privilege of calling you my sister. Your love will continue to guide us, your example will continue to inspire us, and your memory will forever live in our hearts.

Until we meet again, may Allah grant you eternal peace and surround you with His infinite mercy.

With all my love.
